In 1995, Steyn transitioned into the insurance sector, working at Prism Consultants, a short-term insurance brokerage, before moving on to Etosha Versekeringsmakelaars from 1995 to 1998. During this time, he honed his expertise in insurance broking and risk management.

In 1998, Steyn founded Steyn Boshoff & Associates, where he has been providing advisory services for over two decades, helping businesses navigate the complexities of insurance and financial planning. His extensive experience in financial management and strategic advisory roles culminated in his appointment as Non-Executive Director of City Capital in 2009 and Chief Executive Officer in 2017, where he continues to provide visionary leadership. Steyn’s combination of insurance expertise, financial services experience, and leadership skills has made him an instrumental figure in guiding City Capital’s operations and strategic direction.
