Hannes Odendaal is a seasoned property development professional based in the Western Cape, South Africa. With over a decade of experience in the real estate sector, he has played a pivotal role in transforming land into high-quality residential spaces. His expertise spans the entire development process, from land acquisition and feasibility studies to construction. Beyond his professional endeavors, Hannes is deeply committed to community development and sustainability.

Marc holds impressive qualifications, including a B.Com and B.Acc from the University of the Witwatersrand (Wits), along with being a Chartered Accountant (CA) SA. His extensive career spans several decades, with his early professional experience beginning in 1991 at Sable Holdings Ltd, where he served as Financial Manager until 1994. From 1995 to 1998, he continued his career at Altech Electronic Products (Pty) Ltd in the same role, followed by a position as Financial Manager at Salcast, a division of Dorbyl Ltd, from 1998 to 2000. His financial expertise further developed at Apollo Brick (Pty) Ltd, where he worked as Financial Director from 2000 to 2008, helping to guide the company’s financial strategy and growth.

Since 1986, Marc has also been a Partner at MDC Financial Services, adding invaluable experience in financial consulting and advisory services. In 2009, he took on the role of Chief Financial Officer (CFO) at City Capital, where he continues to oversee the company’s financial operations and strategic management. Marc’s career is a testament to his financial acumen and leadership, making him an essential part of City Capital’s success.

Marc has a diverse professional background, including experience in private equity, corporate finance, and entrepreneurship. Steyn’s career is marked by significant achievements in the financial services and insurance industries. He began his professional journey in 1991 at ABSA, where he gained early experience in banking and financial services until 1994. In 1995, Steyn transitioned into the insurance sector, working at Prism Consultants, a short-term insurance brokerage, before moving on to Etosha Versekeringsmakelaars from 1995 to 1998. During this time, he honed his expertise in insurance broking and risk management.

In 1998, Steyn founded Steyn Boshoff & Associates, where he has been providing advisory services for over two decades, helping businesses navigate the complexities of insurance and financial planning. His extensive experience in financial management and strategic advisory roles culminated in his appointment as Non-Executive Director of City Capital in 2009 and Chief Executive Officer in 2017, where he continues to provide visionary leadership. Steyn’s combination of insurance expertise, financial services experience, and leadership skills has made him an instrumental figure in guiding City Capital’s operations and strategic direction.

He brings extensive experience in the financial and investment sectors, having worked with both local and international clients. Steyn holds a strong background in finance, investment management, and corporate leadership, allowing him to successfully guide City Capital in its growth and investment activities.

Andrew has an extensive career in the financial industry, spanning 27 years. He began his career with Liberty Life in 1988, where he gained valuable experience in the financial services sector. In 1990, he established his own independent brokerage, marking the beginning of his entrepreneurial journey. Andrew later became the business owner of Aviva, a highly successful tourism business founded in 2002, showcasing his versatility and keen business acumen.

In addition to his achievements in the financial and tourism sectors, Andrew is a seasoned property investor. He owns and manages a diverse portfolio of properties both locally and overseas, and has earned a reputation for successfully managing offshore properties for six clients. Since 2009, Andrew has served as a Non-Executive Director at City Capital, contributing his broad expertise in finance, property management, and entrepreneurship. He also plays an active role in the governance of the company, serving on the Audit Committee and Social and Ethics Committee, where his extensive industry knowledge continues to benefit the company’s strategic direction and operations.
